At the NZMTC we
offer a full range of sport science testing:
Lactate
testing - will determine individual heart rate zones
for the five levels of training intensity. This knowledge allows
people to train effectively with a heart rate monitor.
Cost NZ$125.00 ($95.00 for 2 or more people)
Intermittent
Hypoxic training- known as altitude simulation for improving
aerobic conditioning and competitive performance, or for altitude
acclimatisation.

INSTITUTE please click here
Cost NZ$80.00 (1st week) $50.00 (follow up weeks)
Muscle
balance assessment - which is especially relevant
for injury prevention and rehabilitation.
Cost NZ$65.00
Maximum
exercise test (VO2 Max) which accurately determines
the maximum oxygen a person is capable of taking up. It is a
recognised standard measure of fitness. This test is currently
done in conjunction with the College of Education
Cost NZ$45.00
Gait
analysis - identifies factors that may predispose
a person to injury, or impair performance or rehabilitation.
Cost NZ$35.00-$45.00
Submaximal
exercise test - a less stressful method of estimating
maximum oxygen uptake. It is widely used for the general public.
Mental
conditioning - can help with goal setting and maintaining
motivation, as well as enhancing performance in competition.
Cost 1hr NZ$85.00
Lung
function analysis - a simple test to assess lung
fitness. Special exercise test can be done to assess patients
and athletes who suffer from exercise induced asthma.
Body
Composition - height, weight, body mass index, skinfolds.
Cost NZ$25.00-$35.00
